Graduated from his high school english class with subjective distinction. He was just 16, on the playground, when two very particular truths unwove themselves from the intangibility of his subconscious and re-knit themselves into the forefront of his mind with such violent clarity, the resulting incandescence shook him to his tender, still-green core. The First; that periods came every month -and not per annum- as he had originally naively believed. The Second; that in order to be a pirate swashbuckler these days, it is almost a prerequisite one must be Somali. Rather stubbornly (some might say), he's held on to the swashbuckler ideal; to embody the devil-may-care adventurer, gentleman extraordinaire- no matter what that Marco Polo or Don Quixote did before. So here he is. Same little kid, just on a different playground.
